Quality yarn for Nagaland’s weavers
The Chief Minister’s Yarn Bank Scheme is an initiative of the Government of Nagaland to improve access to quality natural yarn for eligible registered weavers. The scheme supports an organised and transparent distribution system through which approved yarn can be procured at mill-pricing with a 15% Government subsidy, subject to applicable guidelines and stock availability.
Reliable access to raw material is essential for handloom production. By improving access to approved yarn, the Yarn Bank seeks to reduce procurement difficulty, support weaving livelihoods and strengthen continuity in Nagaland’s handloom sector.
